What Does VC Have to Offer?
The VC Promise
The Ventura College Promise is a program sponsored by the Ventura College Foundation. The "Promise" is that qualified Ventura County high school graduates will have their enrollment fees covered during their first year of attendance at Ventura College. Expenses covered by the Ventura College Promise include the per-unit cost of classes, the Student Rep fee, the Health fee, and the Student Center fee.

- Get your general studies out of the way and begin study in your field of interest at a much lower cost than at a four year college or university.
- In may cases, you can live at home which is a great savings.
- The rigor of community college coursework will prepare you for continuation at a university
- If you meet course and GPA requirements, you are guarenteed admittance to most CSU’s as a junior.
- Many community colleges have options for training in a particular trade such as welding, computer networking and repair, landscaping, etc.

The VC Promise
The Ventura College Promise is a program sponsored by the Ventura College Foundation. The "Promise" is that qualified Ventura County high school graduates will have their enrollment fees covered during their first year of attendance at Ventura College. Expenses covered by the Ventura College Promise include the per-unit cost of classes, the Student Rep fee, the Health fee, and the Student Center fee.
To qualify, the recent Ventura County high school graduate must:
- Make a commitment to attend Ventura College for the two consecutive Fall/Spring semesters they are eligible for the Ventura College Promise, immediately following their high school graduation.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
- Complete a Ventura College application for admission www.venturacollege.edu
- Take the college's assessment examination in Math and English.
- Work with a Ventura College counselor to develop an education plan and goal; and/or enroll in a counseling workshop
- Apply for the Ventura College Promise and be enrolled in Ventura College immediately after high school (or GED) completion.
- Submit a Ventura College Promise Application (myVCCCD portal - Student Quick Links) to the Ventura College Foundation by May 12th
